Man, Ryan Broyles must be in love.

Many high profile college and professional athletes prefer to keep their relationship status under wraps as to not mess up their game on the road. For stud Oklahoma wideout Ryan Broyles, that’s not the case. Broyles proposed to his longtime girlfriend in the fall of 2011, and immediately went to Twitter to announce to the world,

Just proposed to the love of my life! @1Mary_Beth !!!!!

In fairness, it does make sense for Broyles and Offenburger to publicly demonstrate their love for one another, as they are both extremely dedicated, and devout Christians. Mary Beth convinced Ryan to begin attending church every week, and the couple reads their bibles together frequently(the bibles were given as gifts to and from one another).
In an article on FoxSports.com, Ryan Broyles remarkable life and football turnaround were discussed. Broyles points specifically to a mission trip to earthquake ravaged Haiti as changing him forever, and finally committing to God and religion once and for all. He acknowledges curbing his late night partying, ending his swearing habit, divorcing himself from rap music, and incredibly enough,… ending his sex life with his girlfriend.

Fortunately for Broyles, he won’t have to hold out too much longer, as the two will be married on November 20, 2012.

The biggest part of our job at PlayerWives.com is research. Because of this, we have a number of Google Alerts sent to our inbox alerting us about news of any athlete we haven’t covered. Today’s email came as a bit of a shock with the subject line reading:

“Ndamukong Suh dating Lolo Jones.”

Hold on.

Wait.

Really?

Yes, it would certainly appear that Lions D-Tackle Ndamukong Suh’s girlfriend is Lolo Jones. And while this seems the same, it seems even crazier for us to report that Lolo Jones’ boyfriend is Ndamukong Suh. Something just strange there.

Personal feelings aside, reports out of Detroit indicate that the two met a few months ago, and may have been dating as early as April of this year. At that time, Suh was seen attending the Drake Relays in Iowa to root on Jones, though both parties downplayed any talk of a relationship at that time. Talk of the relationship began to swirl again after Jones was invited to the Lions season opener as a guest of Suh. According to MediaTakeOut who first broke the story, the couple appears to have gotten somewhat serious. Both Suh and Jones are very religious, and Suh is described as “respectful,” in their report.

There are plenty of jokes to be made here, either about stomping, virgins, or possibly a combination of the two,… but we’ll leave that to some of the hackier blogs out there. For now we’ll just keep an eye on things to see if this develops. While our original shock hasn’t entirely worn off, things actually aren’t quite as impossible to believe as once saw. Nate Burleson is a relatively quiet #2 wideout on a high octane offense. It’s kind of surprising when you think about the numbers he puts up in Detroit, but few people outside the Motor City really knew much about him. Burleson clearly has a marketing mind, as he knew that a simple car crash while reaching for a slice of pizza was one way to put his name into the national landscape. Since the infamous pizza accident, and now moreso upon his return, he’s on a quite a few more minds, so let’s find out more about the next obvious topic: Nate Burleson’s wife Atoya Burleson.

Nate and Atoya Burleson have been together since college, at the University of Nevada. As we’ve seen time and time again, Atoya was a fellow student athlete, on the track team. The couple was engaged during Nate’s rookie season in Minnesota and have been together since. They now have three children, Nathaniel and Nehemiah and a daughter Mia.

The couple has founded the C.A.T.C.H. Foundation, whose mission statement is “to reach and teach children and their families by providing them with educational tools to succeed as well as enriching their lives by showing them how to care for others, themselves and their future.” The foundation hosts various events throughout the year, including football camps, and an annual softball game.

Let’s finish back on the pizza. Nate has kept a great sense of humor about the whole event. Following the wreck, Burleson recalled his reaction to MLive.com:

What’s funny is, my wife went to go take pictures of the car, and she said there was pizza all over the bottom floorboard of the passenger seat. Told her she should have brought it home.

Don’t you honestly believe that Barry Sanders’ wife Lauren Campbell-Sanders had something to do with the early retirement of the most dynamic running back I’ve ever had the privilege of watching?

I know, I know,… after surprising the world by faxing his retirement to his hometown newspaper, he’s since admitted that he was exhausted with the Lions culture of losing. I get that. But doesn’t it seem like Lauren Sanders could have been in his ear? After his July, 99 retirement, Barry and Lauren Sanders were married just a year later in 2000. Lauren Sanders is certainly a woman who exerts a certain level of power and authority, serving as a news anchor for WDIV in Detroit, so isn’t it at least feasible that she planted the bug in his ear? Shortly after their wedding, the couple began having children, with three sons, Nigel, Nicholas and Noah all born within a short five year period of time. Barry does have one other child from a previous relationship, Barry J. Sanders; who like his father parlayed a successful high school rushing career into a lucrative college scholarship, with Barry Jr. committing to Stanford starting in 2012.

We’ll never know how much influence Lauren Sanders did or didn’t have on the abrupt retirement,… and it’s pretty certain we never will. Why? Because Lauren Campbell Sanders is now Barry Sanders ex-wife. In 2012, the couple filed for divorce, which set off a messy set of squabbling over major issues. The couple was forced into mediation to help sort out the issues including custody, parenting time, spousal and child support, as well as property.

It appears that having her name splashed across TMZ wasn’t the easiest thing to cope with as a serious news anchor. According to Lauren’s WDIV Biography: “After anchoring the weekend morning newscast for several years, Lauren took a hiatus from the news to focus fully on family life.” As of posting in January, 2014, it does appear that she’s back on the air in her usual Weekend Morning hosting gig.

UPDATE 03/19/2015: This month I’ve been with my wife for a decade. And there’s one consistent thing I’ve learned in the past decade, which Calvin Johnson’s girlfriend Brittney McNorton has also demonstrated: time heals all wounds.

After the drama that unfolded last May, Brittney McNorton accepted Megatron’s proposal when the Lions big man went down on one knee. While there was no drama between the two, anything involving a kid has to be messy, right?

Calvin popped the question along Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, because if The Wire’s taught me anything, it’s that Baltimore is the City of Love. Megatron felt the urge, and decided it was time, telling Detroit Free Press:

“The situation was just right, just happened to be right, we were on vacation, so why not?”

Why not indeed, sir. Congratulations to the happy couple.

I don’t know where Brittney learned the secrets of the m-wop, but she recently began powering it up when she and Calvin went to pick up Calvin’s son at Shallyn Blanton’s home. Shallyn Blanton is the mother of Calvin’s son (also referred to as a “baby mama”). McNorton did not actually unleash the fury of the wop, but the mere mentioning of the technique by her was enough to cause Shallyn to pursue a restraining order against McNorton. Threatening violence in front of a child tends to hasten the restraining order retrieval process.

Brittney works for the Detroit Lions Organization as the Promotions Manager and Manager of Partnership Activation. She also moonlights as a Martial Arts Tournament Organizer and Manager of To-The-Death Matches. No, I kid, but she does work for the Lions and do all that first stuff I mentioned. She went to Michigan State University (the same place Magic Johnson went back in the 70’s). She got a degree in communications and public relations– you know, the kind that’s useful before you score a fatality on a baby mama. Down, forward corner, forward, punch + kick, back, forward, high punch.

Scott Mitchell’s wife Kim Nifong Mitchell is about to sit at home and watch him suffer on the television. Rather, she’ll eventually get to watch him suffer on the television, as the show may have already been pre-taped and is set to air soon. I’m talking about The Biggest Loser, a program where morbidly obese, lazy, and intermittently neurotic caterpillars are transformed into skinny, hyperactive, and often compulsive butterflies. One of the competitors Scott will face is another huge fat guy who used to break bones in the NFL– Damien Woody. You can read about him and his wife Nicole Woody.

So what about this lady, Scott’s wife Kim? Well, for starters, she’s been uber-religious her whole life, and when she met Scott way back in the 80’s while they were both attending the University of Utah, he was what’s known as a stud. Naturally, she started getting roped into Mormonism by Scott, who showed her this movie called “The First Vision.” Now, I have watched snippets of the film on YouTube, and let me tell you– it sucks. It’s got this kid who walks around fields and forests and has hallucinations. Today, those people are generally diagnosed as schizophrenics and receive medication to aid their malady. Back in the days of yore, however, they were occasionally diagnosed as prophets who got to found their own organized religion.

Anyway, so Scott’s wife Kim decides she’s really digging the whole “temple garments” and planet Kolob deal (have fun googling those), and she decides she’s going to convert to Mormonism. And for a long time after that, life is smooth sailing. Scott gets to baptize her, which I’m assuming involves pouring a vat of pudding on her elbows and heels because, you know, it’s Mormonism. They live a pretty nice life while Scott has a marginal but long-lasting 10 years as a pro quarterback. His best year was in 1995, when he started all 16 games for the Detroit Lions, threw 32 touchdowns, and had a 92 rating. Coincidentally, Barry Sanders had an off year, averaging only 94 yards per game.

Flash forward to now. Mitchell’s wife Kim has to face the hard reality of an aging, overweight, “bill collector,” as he termed it on The Biggest Loser website. I suppose I’m framing this in a rather polarizing way, but sometimes it feels good to get nostalgic and remember those awesome late 80’s days filled with perms, pop music montages in movies, and a whole lot of abstinence.

Stephen Tulloch’s girlfriend Vanessa Alleyne has helps him present special charity events and generally just gives the big guy props. She’s originally from Florida and recently celebrated her 10 year high school reunion. I know this because I have seen both her high school picture and the invitation and description for the reunion, which was held at the Hard Rock Cafe and some other night club in the Tampa area.

Tulloch’s girlfriend Vanessa went to a pretty classy high school; that I can tell you. Any time you get a chance to be shaded from the eighty-degree February sun by palm trees, you have arrived in classyville. I’ve looked at countless pictures of her graduating class. All of the fake gang signs and overworked gelled hair and “thug life crew” cliques have been scanned by my glassy eyes, and Vanessa is very hard to find in these faded memories. The “where are they now” section of the reunion site does not comment on her current status as Stephen Tulloch’s hot girlfriend, but I’m sure 80% of the chicks she went to school with would be at least a little envious. I looked at a lot of prom pictures that her class kept, and man oh man some of those girls wore some scandalous dresses.

Enough about Vanessa’s class of skimpily-clad graduates. She thinks about most of them as much as Stephen Tulloch thinks about his high school competitors, which is to say not much at all. Speaking of Vanessa’s man, I recently watched a compilation of his high school highlights, and good lord was he ferocious. You can imagine what an NFL linebacker whose been named one of the top 100 players in the league would be like to play against in high school. Not very fun. Anyway, Tulloch’s girlfriend has attended a few of his charity events and is generally just looking sexy as can be.

Gentlemen, start your spray tans! This whole airing of cheating grievances is becoming a new thing. The term “spraytan” is also becoming a little catchy term for a cheating wife or girlfriend, and it was the contact name that Brennan Clay’s wife Gina D’Agostini saved DeMarco Murray’s phone number under so Brennan wouldn’t know about them. Now, Joseph Fauria’s girlfriend Erika Ann Hammond has allegedly been accused by Fauria of spraytanning him. Nobody likes a fake tan, especially pro football players.

The man allegedly accused by Joseph of cheating with Erika is Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. Only a few days ago, Fauria’s girlfriend Erika posted one of those cutesy-tootsy photos of them with her dog saying how thankful she is to have “these men in my life.” Apparently she really meant it! The dog has nothing to do with it, I guess? Well, we don’t really know the story completely, as Joseph tweeted this: “Hey (Russell Wilson) enjoy her (Erika Hammond). She had me thinking she was a loyal girlfriend. I almost feel you, (Brennan Clay)” and then he hash-tagged it with “spraytan.” This really looks like he found out that she was throwing the ‘ole football around with Mr. Wilson, but this story really hasn’t shown itself the way Brennan Clay’s did. Clay himself posted a sext exchange recently between Murray and D’Agostini, and it really looks convincing. This situation, on the other hand, could mean anything.

Joseph deleted the tweet immediately after he posted it, so maybe he didn’t mean it? Or maybe he was drunk and had no idea what he was talking about? The more one thinks about it, the more curious one becomes. Anyway, the idea that NFL players are now airing all their private relationship details is pretty odd. Is the NFL going to become a social media soap opera in the future? That’d be entertaining, but it’d also be embarrassing.

Dominic Raiola’s wife Yvonne Raiola has been with him a long time, and she’s in it for the long haul. Back in 2004 when Dominic was rated the top center prospect for the NFL, Dominic and Yvonne already had a three-year old daughter. This was three years before Dominic had his third child along with a child with another woman named Andrea Yee. As we’ve seen, the old out-of-wedlock hookups always lead to massive financial penalties in the long run.

Raiola and his wife Yvonne’s first child was born around 2001 and is named Taylor. She’s now 13 years old and has been around since Dominic was a sophomore in college. His younger brother Donovan, who grew up in Hawaii with him, managed to bounce around the NFL from 2006 to 2011 and was on the squad of no less than ten football teams (both NFL and AFL) before calling it quits. He played in one NFL game that entire time. That kind of thing has got to get old after awhile.

Yvonne has surely put Dominic’s tryst behind her. The birth of Dominic’s son with Andrea Yee came two months after the birth of his third daughter with Yvonne, but this was back in 2007. Since then, Dominic has paid $14,500 per month in child support and about $2000 per month in child care. Ouch! This kind of thing happens all the time with rich athletes, and it definitely gives incentive to others to be careful in their private lives. Dominic Raiola and his wife Yvonne have lived comfortably in the township of West Bloomfield, Michigan his entire career. Last year the child support news started popping up again as he and his lawyers have tried to scale it back, since $14,500 per month does seem pretty excessive. Raiola’s lawyer has said that Andrea Yee also started sending him “increasing vitriolic text messages.”

Well, we’ve since this before. Not more than two weeks ago, Lance Armstrong’s girlfriend tried to take the fall for him drunkenly slamming into parked cars. Now, Nick Fairley’s girlfriend Fatima Alhassan is trying to take the fall for him after he was stopped. He’s now facing trial for drunk driving. At the time when he was stopped, Mr. Fairley took three separate field sobriety tests, and he failed each one. Fatima is claiming that he had only one drink the entire day. They were on their way to a casino in Biloxi Mississippi, and the officer who pulled them over said they traveled nearly three miles before they pulled over. According to the Detroit Free Press, the trooper claims he pursued Fairley at “speeds exceeding 105 miles per hour for nearly 3 miles before Fairley pulled over.”

To anyone with common sense, it appears that someone in this little picnic is lying. I guess a sober guy could fail one field sobriety test  (though I doubt it), but the chances of failing three are nil. For a guy that weighs 191 pounds, that “one drink” must have been a helluva’ pour! Did he fill up a Big Gulp with whiskey? I suppose that would qualify as one drink. Fairley also admitted that the red solo cup containing alcohol in the Cadillac he was driving was his. That’s exactly what Nick Fairley’s girlfriend Fatima Alhassan is now claiming. Running from cops is never a good idea, and now both Nick and Fatima look like fools– Nick for allowing Fatima to take the blame, and Miss Alhassan for lying.

Fatima herself is a pediatric nurse at a Detroit hospital, and she went to the Little Flower School of Nursing in India. It’s likely that she is originally from India. She’s exceedingly attractive, if you ask me, but I don’t like how bad she looks in the ‘ole court of law right now.

Ameer Abdullah’s girlfriend Georgia Ellenwood has been called “incredibly easy on the eyes” by another sports site, and we wholeheartedly agree! She also seems to be one hell of an athlete– competing as a heptathlete at Wisconsin. I have to admit, this Canadian native does seems pretty cool. I’m a fan of her tweets too. Here’s a sample:

Apparently Ameer Abdullah’s girlfriend Georgia Ellenwood is a solid heptathlete. For those of you who don’t know what a heptathlon consists of (like myself a few minutes ago), allow me to quickly catch you up. A heptathlon is simply the seven events of 100 meter hurdles, high jump, shot put (awesome!), 200 meter dash, long jump, javelin throw (even more awesome), and the 800 meter dash. Thanks Wikipedia!

So basically it’s a badass event, and you’ve got to be a true all-around athlete to really compete in it. Who doesn’t love those events, too? I mean, that’s like the cream of the crop of track and field events right there. Who needs pole vault and 100 meters? They’re overrated, and the 100 meter dash is so short that you can win if you get lucky with a good jump off the line.

Joique Bell’s girlfriend Felicia is a Greek beauty who still prefers listening to Greek music over anything when she’s cruising in her Jeep Grand Cherokee. An interviewer for M Live followed the couple around and watched Joique visit his old college campus with his lady. Joique’s got a child from another mother named Devin, but they’re not together, and Felicia is the woman in his life now. Bell actually visits Wayne State quite often to work on is master’s in sports administration.

Felicia herself is eight years younger than Mr. Bell, which makes her 21 years of age. Joique Bell’s girlfriend is a cheerleader for the Detroit Lions, and she cheers for other professional Detroit teams too. Her actual cheering team is called the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders, and I guess they have something a little different worked out with the pro teams in Detroit since they’re not exclusive to one team but cheer for many Detroit teams. The company that owns the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders also owns a bunch of other cheering squads around the city, and it’s sort of like a cheering monopoly. Its run by some woman named Andrea Wilamowski, who was on The Biggest Loser and lost a whole bunch of weight. So now you know where Felicia is coming from as it relates to her cheering job.

Felicia does quite a lot of activities with her cheering squad, and that includes charity events like walk to end alzheimer’s and the Joique Bell football and cheerleading camp, which isn’t a charity at all and you’ve got to pay money for it, but it’s a nice camp for kids looking for something to do in the summer. Of course, Felicia thought this would be a great opportunity for her to get on the local Detroit radio and do some promotion for her boyfriend. Joique Bell’s girlfriend likes to work with kids and enjoys getting out there to show off some cheer moves.

Darius Slay’s girlfriend Jennifer Williams is a basketball player for a division two college called Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I can tell Darius is really, really into Jennifer. He’s posting pictures of her all the time, and he’s doing the whole “happy birthday to my queen” thing. They’re very much a solidified unit at this point. Based on my research, they’ve been together since around September of 2015. My research consists of him announcing that he met her in Septemvber of 2015.

The key dynamic is that both of them have a young son from a past relationship. That’s quite a strong bonding factor. They’re both so young too. Each has a son, and by the time their sons are 12, they’ll only be around 33 years old. By the time they’re both 40, their sons will be grown up. That’s not a bad deal, if you’re thinking long-term. But let’s back up a bit. Darius Slay’s girlfriend really only introduced herself as his girlfriend in the past few months. They took a trip to Puerto Rico to chill out, and right before that she showed a picture of a bed of roses that Darius prepared for her. The gesture, which came with a note about how lucky he is she chose him, was very thoughtful.

Take one look at this lady and it’s obvious she could easily transition into some kind of modeling gig after he basketball career is over. She looks a little bit like a young Jennifer Lopez, maybe. Darius Slay’s girlfriend Jennifer Williams shoots a lot of hoops with Darius too. They’re both into athletic activities and being competitive. If you look at the relationship, they’re pretty perfect for each other. It would be amazing if Jennifer was able to get into the WNBA, but that’s not going to happen. It seems highly unlikely since she’s a division two player. Judging by how many videos and pictures Darius is posting of her, he may consider marrying her. In that case, she’s alllll set.

Jim Caldwell’s wife Cheryl Caldwell is closing in on 40 years with the guy. That’s certainly an accomplishment in modern times. Marriage with a pro sports coach is tough. Nevertheless, this couple produced four kids. They’re also grandparents. They met each other when they were fifteen years old. They grew up in Wisconsin in a town called Beloit, which is on the border of Illinois. According to Cheryl, Jim never comes home angry or upset about football. That’s unbelievable to me. She said he never slammed the door and sulked in his room about a loss. If I were a head coach I’d be extremely moody and anxious all the time. Good job, Jimmy!

Their kids are named Jim, Jermaine, Jared, and Natalie. Since Jim Sr. coached at Wake Forest, Jim Jr. played for him. After football, Jim Jr. had kids and made Jim Caldwell’s wife and him grandparents. Cheryl loves her kids and grandkids and enjoys them very much. She established a Foundation with Jim in 2009 to help kids get better educations. Since Cheryl donated 25,000 dollars to a Boys & Girls Club, she is officially a philanthropist. The couple built a bunch of their learning centers, and one of them is in North Carolina. The others ones are in Indianapolis and Detroit.

The reason they have one of their learning centers for kids in North Carolina is they lives there. That’s their permanent home after Jim finishes coaching. Jim Caldwell’s wife really enjoys the state because it’s a nice golfing community. Apparently Cheryl likes to hit the lynx. Three of their kids live nearby in Chapel Hill and Clemmons. While Jim figures out optimal football strategies, Cheryl works on her golf swing. Apparently the Caldwells are also good friends with the parents of Chris Paul, the Pauls. Since they both give to the same charities, they’re good friends and golf together.

Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly Stafford is the mother of their twins, Chandler and Sawyer. Back in July of 2017, USA Today called the twins “Instagram stars”. People love them. Kelly frequently posts pictures of the twins on her social media. In one picture, Kelly posed with four generations. The picture included the twins, Kelly, Kelly’s mother, and also Kelly’s grandmother. The twins arrived on May 28, 2017. Kelly waited a month to post a picture of the tops of their heads. At the time, she also mentioned how excited her and Matthew were to watch them grow.

Matthew Stafford’s wife attended college, this much is for sure. However, the facts about her alma mater now appear unclear. Originally, Wikipedia listed Kelly (nee Hall) as a graduate of the University of Georgia. This makes sense since Matthew also attended that fine institution. But in March of 2017, she posted a picture of herself in a Wesleyan jersey, playing for the team. Since this is hard evidence of her involvement with the team and college, did she transfer at some point? She said she was “proud to be a part of that basketball powerhouse” when she spoke of the college and coach Azar. Did she attend both schools? Did she also lead cheers?

So Matthew Stafford’s wife claims an athletic background. Kelly also spoke extremely highly of her husband right before she gave birth. She said he is a great example of what their daughters should expect of future significant others. In line with her profile motto of “family over everything,” this observation stands out. USA Today Sports again briefly mentioned Kelly Stafford after she posted about standing during the national anthem. Originally, Kelly encouraged players to stand during the anthem. Then, following a backlash which she herself expected, she said some commenters “opened her eyes.” She urged discussion. Kelly also said discussion inspires change.

Lastly, in August of 2017, Matthew Stafford’s wife posted a video of the twins again. This time, the video signified contentment and satisfaction over Matthew’s contract extension. The extension represented six more years in Detroit. What was the dollar amount attached? $135 million. Ajc.com reposted the video. It should also be noted Kelly mentioned the Detroit Lions owner in August. Why did she mention Martha Ford? Because Martha Ford donated $1 million for Hurricane Harvey relief. Matt Patricia’s wife Raina Patricia is the mother of their three kids.  Their two older boys named Dominic and Dante, and their daughter, Giamina.   Raina Patricia is originally from Massachusetts, and she’s a huge Jimmy Buffett fan.  Which, if we’re being honest, there’s not much more Massachusetts than that. One of her favorite Buffett lines is “don’t try to describe the ocean if you’ve never seen it”.   The couple actually hung out with Buffett at a concert in Cincinnati in June of 2015 and let the guy wear one of Matt’s Super Bowl ring. I’ve got to say, the ring looks completely absurd and is the size of a large sand dollar.  But hey, from a staff of Patriots fans, there’s no complaints here.

Following the Patriots 2018 AFC Championship game, the Patricia family had an intimate moment on the turf of Gillette.   In what was likely Patricia’s last game calling Foxboro home, he brought his son on the field after the confetti flew.  Patricia lost the game of touch football to his kiddo, but probably ranks as his favorite loss ever.  Under the glow of the lights in an empty stadium, Patricia lay down with his boy sitting on his stomach.  As cool a moment as a father could have.  Matt Patricia’s wife was also quick to hit the field during post game celebrations.  The moment clearly meant a lot.  It’s likely their final night in the place they call home, and they soaked it in.

For Halloween, Matt Patricia’s wife dressed up in a camouflage dress. The costume itself wasn’t newsworthy.  But when she’s in a group picture which shows Matt and Bill Belichick in full personality mode, it makes news.  Matt was dressed as a hippie guy with a camouflage shirt and a flannel. The couple was thematically crushed by Bill and his lady, who went the full pirate garb route. Hey, at least Raina and Matt participated, right? If you’re going to a costume party, you’ve got to at least put something different on. Speaking of people who went the extra mile for the Patriots Halloween Party, I should just mention briefly that Tom Brady and Giselle Bunchen did not disappoint as the cowardly lion and Dorothy from “The Wizard of Oz.” Great costumes, perfect people!

Before she married him, Matt Patricia’s wife was known as Raina Grigelvich. She’s actually originally from Foxboro, according to Boston magazine, which had a series of small blurbs about her visiting Iceland and riding small horses around the country. I guess they thought it would be somewhat interesting for the travel section. She went there with her brother Scott and also visited the capital of Reykjavik. This was before she was known to be in a relationship with Matt, so her being featured in Boston magazine was just sort of a lucky coup for her. Let it be said that her name change from Raina Grigelvich to Raina Patricia seems very cool to me. Raina Patricia sounds pretty nifty compared to her old name.

LeGarrette Blount is the man. So who is the woman behind the man? While currently single, at one point LeGarrette Blount’s girlfriend was Merissa McCullugh, with whom he has an almost 11 year old son, LeGarrette Blount Jr.

Merissa and LeGarrette met at the University of Oregon in 2009, LeGarrette’s senior year.   Merissa gave birth to their son at the beginning of the football season. J ust before their son was born Blount ran into some trouble when he punched a Boise State defensive end.  He faced a 10 game suspension and the possibility of not being drafted into the NFL at all. Despite the media uproar Merissa stood by her man and they made it through the season. After reinstatement, Blount played a huge role in leading The Ducks to a coveted victory at the Rose Bowl. When the game finished he asked a police officer to escort him back onto the field.  But, not to address the fans chanting his name.  It was to find Merissa and Jr. and deliver them a rose.

LeGarrette Blount’s girlfriend Merissa was truly his college sweetheart. She became famous for sporting a Ducks sweatshirt with “Lady Blount” embroidered on the back. The couple was reportedly engaged at one point.  But, in September 2013, when asked about Merissa by a reporter for the Oregonian, LeGarrette replied “… there is no more Lady Blount”.  Sadly it appeared that this love story came to an end.

But, fear not folks.  Blount remained an involved and loving father.  And in late 2017, LeGarrette Blount’s girlfriend Merissa accompanied LG to the Patriots ring ceremony.  It’s unclear if the death of Lady Blount was a turn of phrase, or a true representation of their status at the time.  The Blount family is going strong, with LG happily growing roots in Philadelphia.    With Lady Blount by his side, LeGarrette seems to be doing just fine!

Back before signing a mega deal in Detroit. Trey Flowers’ girlfriend caused some chaos in New England.

PANIC IN THE STREETS, TREY FLOWERS IS MISSING FROM PRACTICE

Welcome to New England in December.  When your team’s best defensive player misses a practice late in the week, there’s reason for fear.  But, in this case, Trey Flowers’ girlfriend Tyler Rae Smith can let us all breathe a huge sigh of relief.  For her pain is our blessing, because it’s all about us fans.

You see, folks, Trey Flowers’ girlfriend gave birth to their second daughter on November 30th, which is a totally justifiable reason to miss practice.

Trey Flowers’ girlfriend Tyler Smith is a big fan of social media and random thoughts. Tyler also is the mother of their daughter, Skylar Amour. She gave birth to Skylar in early 2013 and continues to raise her strong and proud. Trey himself is also incredibly proud of his daughter. It’s always refreshing to see these bad dudes on the field being great, affectionate dads off it. Tyler commented she spoiled Skylar by not taking her to the daycare enough. Now, she says every time she takes her there, Skylar freaks out. Such are the pains of motherhood since there’s always a challenge to overcome. Hey, my youngest kid lost his mind when I dropped him off today. I get it. The struggle is real, friends. I’m sure Tyler does a good job because she keeps things light and fun.

Skylar also loves her faith. She called on the Lord in the midst of a 10 day detox. Trey Flowers’ girlfriend said she craved a brownie and needed discipline. For what it’s worth, a 10 day detox sounds very difficult. I wonder if she ate the brownie because it’s a great detox killer. It also appears Tyler appreciates stillness. On several occasions, she talks about the difficulty of being still and praises stillness as a fine quality. I happen to agree with that. Quiet the mind!

Prior to going Twitter dark, Tyler was much more open. In April, she said she wanted to lose a few pounds to achieve her ideal weight. From there, her plan is to maintain and tone. It’s cool to hear Trey Flowers’ girlfriend speaking honestly. It makes her seem like a real person. She talks about how she “kinda wants some IHOP,” and I can relate to this. It’s the normal thoughts of a down-to-earth person. Brownies and IHOP, however, are a mighty challenge to overcome!

Gentlemen, start your spray tans! This whole airing of cheating grievances is becoming a new thing. The term “spraytan” is also becoming a little catchy term for a cheating wife or girlfriend, and it was the contact name that Brennan Clay’s wife Gina D’Agostini saved DeMarco Murray’s phone number under so Brennan wouldn’t know about them. Now, Joseph Fauria’s girlfriend Erika Ann Hammond has allegedly been accused by Fauria of spraytanning him. Nobody likes a fake tan, especially pro football players.

The man allegedly accused by Joseph of cheating with Erika is Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. Only a few days ago, Fauria’s girlfriend Erika posted one of those cutesy-tootsy photos of them with her dog saying how thankful she is to have “these men in my life.” Apparently she really meant it! The dog has nothing to do with it, I guess? Well, we don’t really know the story completely, as Joseph tweeted this: “Hey (Russell Wilson) enjoy her (Erika Hammond). She had me thinking she was a loyal girlfriend. I almost feel you, (Brennan Clay)” and then he hash-tagged it with “spraytan.” This really looks like he found out that she was throwing the ‘ole football around with Mr. Wilson, but this story really hasn’t shown itself the way Brennan Clay’s did. Clay himself posted a sext exchange recently between Murray and D’Agostini, and it really looks convincing. This situation, on the other hand, could mean anything.

Joseph deleted the tweet immediately after he posted it, so maybe he didn’t mean it? Or maybe he was drunk and had no idea what he was talking about? The more one thinks about it, the more curious one becomes. Anyway, the idea that NFL players are now airing all their private relationship details is pretty odd. Is the NFL going to become a social media soap opera in the future? That’d be entertaining, but it’d also be embarrassing.

Stephen Tulloch’s girlfriend Vanessa Alleyne has helps him present special charity events and generally just gives the big guy props. She’s originally from Florida and recently celebrated her 10 year high school reunion. I know this because I have seen both her high school picture and the invitation and description for the reunion, which was held at the Hard Rock Cafe and some other night club in the Tampa area.

Tulloch’s girlfriend Vanessa went to a pretty classy high school; that I can tell you. Any time you get a chance to be shaded from the eighty-degree February sun by palm trees, you have arrived in classyville. I’ve looked at countless pictures of her graduating class. All of the fake gang signs and overworked gelled hair and “thug life crew” cliques have been scanned by my glassy eyes, and Vanessa is very hard to find in these faded memories. The “where are they now” section of the reunion site does not comment on her current status as Stephen Tulloch’s hot girlfriend, but I’m sure 80% of the chicks she went to school with would be at least a little envious. I looked at a lot of prom pictures that her class kept, and man oh man some of those girls wore some scandalous dresses.

Enough about Vanessa’s class of skimpily-clad graduates. She thinks about most of them as much as Stephen Tulloch thinks about his high school competitors, which is to say not much at all. Speaking of Vanessa’s man, I recently watched a compilation of his high school highlights, and good lord was he ferocious. You can imagine what an NFL linebacker whose been named one of the top 100 players in the league would be like to play against in high school. Not very fun. Anyway, Tulloch’s girlfriend has attended a few of his charity events and is generally just looking sexy as can be.
